Dorohedoro
Set in a dark and grimy cityscape where magic users and humans coexist, this story focuses on Kaiman, a man with a reptile head and a bad case of amnesia. He’s immune to magic and, with his friend Nikaido, hunts down magic users in the Hole, a dismal, derelict district of the city. Kaiman’s goal is to find the sorcerer who cursed him and restore his human head. Meanwhile, the magic users are disturbed by the presence of someone immune to their powers and send assassins to deal with Kaiman. The plot thickens as secrets about Kaiman’s past and the nature of the world they inhabit are slowly revealed.
Chainsaw Man
This story introduces Denji, a young man living a life of poverty while working as a devil hunter to pay off his deceased father’s debt. Denji has a pet devil named Pochita, who can transform into chainsaw weapons. After being betrayed and killed by the Yakuza, Pochita sacrifices himself to save Denji, merging with him and giving him the powers of a chainsaw devil. Revived with these new abilities, Denji becomes the “Chainsaw Man,” and is recruited by a government organization to fight against more dangerous devils. The anime explores Denji’s quest to live a normal life while dealing with his newfound powers and the moral complexities of his work.
Jujutsu Kaisen
This series centers around Yuji Itadori, a high school student with extraordinary physical strength. His life takes a turn when he encounters a cursed object – a rotting finger – which triggers the appearance of Curses, dangerous creatures that are born from human malice. In an attempt to protect his friends, Yuji swallows the finger, becoming the host of Ryomen Sukuna, a powerful Curse. Consequently, Yuji is introduced to the world of Jujutsu Sorcerers, a secret organization dedicated to fighting Curses. He enrolls in Tokyo Jujutsu High School to learn how to combat these threats and find a way to defeat Sukuna, while navigating the dangers and moral dilemmas of the Jujutsu world.
