There are many nice places to spend Christmas in the USA. December is the magical time of year in many places in the USA. At this time, The Christmas festivities are in full swing and there is joy and excitement spread everywhere. There are beautiful Christmas lights and decorated Christmas trees, and Christmas treats are tempting everywhere. There are various sleigh rides, snowy visits to Santa workshops, and hot chocolate during Christmas.

In this article I have mentioned some great places to help you to choose somewhere you want to go this Christmas. Whether you are traveling as a family, a couple, or even alone, you will find these destinations to be packed with fun things to do and you will enjoy this day, which is always memorable to you.

Santa Claus Christmas

1. Kauai, Hawaii

One of the best places to visit at Christmas in Kauai, Hawaii.  It is a fantastic vacation place at any time of the year, but at the time of Christmas, the beautiful green island is lit up with lights and decorated everywhere. The friendly locals and tourists all seem to be full of joy, enjoying Christmas. The perfect warm balmy air makes for a relaxing and stress-free place to enjoy the vacation fully. If you want a Christmas tree, you can get a local tree or pack one with you in your suitcase. It is a soothing experience to wake up on Christmas morning to the sun.

Put simple gifts under the tree as the Kauai vacation is the biggest gift.  You can even do some adventures in Kauai. There are so many activities to do like surfing, boogie boarding, going on a catamaran ride, hiking, beach walk. In the evening, there are many open-air restaurants to enjoy a nice Christmas dinner out.

2. New York City, New York

Christmas eve in New York City is a magical experience. There are so many amazing things to see and do in New York City for Christmas. All of the departmental stores are decorated for the holidays, you must take a walking tour around Midtown Manhattan enjoying all of the holiday windows.

There are also decorated Christmas trees throughout the city. The largest and most famous is the real tree in Rockefeller Center that is topped with an enormous Swarovski crystal star. Other interesting trees are the one at the Met, which is surrounded by an antique Italian creche; the animal origami-covered tree at the American Museum of Natural History; and the bright blue tree at Bryant Park. You cannot stop yourself from stopping at the Bryant Park Holiday Village for a hot chocolate or hot toddy.

3. Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas is another fabulous destination to visit at Christmas. It is not only because of the special holiday events that occur during the Christmas festival but because winter is the perfect time of year to explore the surrounding desert. One of the most popular things to do in Las Vegas is to experience the sights and sounds of the Bellagio fountain show, have a special treat in store: the music is holiday-themed!, Watching the streams of water dance to the sound of Christmas tunes at night with fellow revelers.

You can take in a performance of The Nutcracker to stress relief yourself, or spend an evening listening to the holiday classics with the Las Vegas Philharmonic. Viewing the lights at the Cactus Garden at the Ethel M Chocolate Factory is an unbelievably wonderful experience. To fully enjoy yourself you must participate in all kinds of holiday fun activities at the LINQ. Touring the resorts to gawk at the festive holiday displays seems a must to have experience.

At the Bellagio Conservatory, where the display changes seasonally, you will see enchanting red-and-green-themed decorations. The Giant polar bears and a train that goes around a snowy mountain are really fun for every age group.

4. Savannah, Georgia

It is a very charming place to visit the whole year but the Christmas time makes it extra magical. From the hundreds of twinkle lights draped across Broughton Street to the seasonal greenery in the squares to the carollers that stroll through the Historic District. A few of the most popular seasonal events include the Holiday Boat Parade, the Gingerbread Trail, and the Holiday Tour of Homes.

The other famous festive areas during Christmas include River Street, Broughton Street, and City Market. Don’t forget to stroll down Jones Street, which is considered one of the prettiest streets in America. You must also visit the beautiful Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist. It is filled with red poinsettias and an elaborate nativity scene. 

5. St. Augustine, Florida

This year you must experience all of the lights and Christmas decor in St. Augustine, Florida, definitely, your heart desires without the freezing cold temps. There are light displays all over the city, and everyone can view them by taking a trolley tour, walking along the water, or even jumping in a helicopter to see them from above.

6. Salt Lake City, Utah

Salt Lake City is a fantastic place to spend Christmas this year if you have missed enjoying this great place till now.  It has all of the perks of city life but along with that, it is surrounded by mountains, where you can enjoy skiing anywhere in the world. This is the best place if you are hoping to avoid the crowds and to go skiing.

You can stay right at their base village and on Christmas day, the kids can get out and ski with Santa. You must not forget about the epic Utah powder that you will be bound to have in the fresh snow.

7. San Diego, California

It is likely to be 70 degrees with sunny weather. It does not necessarily scream Christmas, but for the ones who are coming from the snow, a California Christmas is just like a dream. You can hit the beach and can check out all the holiday happenings at the iconic Hotel Del. It includes a seaside ice rink, themed dining, holiday movies on the beach.
